The Blackland Osprey with mixed reviews.
You say this like it was a bad thing.... I'd say from what I've read, it had one of the most popular releases in recent history. Did it have some hiccups, sure but not like some of the recent releases from other Mfg's in the last year!!

Yes. I do have that razor. My first shave was great, second shave was questionable, third shave was good. We will see when on the fourth shave.

I always liked the Rocnel Sailor and the Tatara Muramassa.  I just prefer a non adjustables for their lower profile heads at this point.

At least you have a month with Blackland to decide if it’s a keeper.

That Osprey does look sweet and might become my first adjustable. Curious if they're already considered in a MkII to rectify some of the issues folks have flagged, mainly the hard-to-read setting numbers.

Yes, they’ve made an option to purchase to add Hi-Vis Black Engraving for their numbers. I also believe they’ve increased the font size.

I've been scaled. I'm smooth now.

I picked up a (lightly) used Pearl Flexi a few weeks ago.  To say I'm impressed is a gross understatement.  Great razor ... both smooth and close at the same time.

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

My favorite category in safety razors. Modern or vintage, I enjoy them all. This particular one is a vintage Progress that is in pretty good shape. Has some quirks with blade alignment and one has to fiddle with it slightly to get equal blade exposure on both sides but, once it’s dialed in, the shaves are truly amazing & gratifying. I have a few Merkur Progress razors and all shave tremendously well. Sans the quality stuff or q/c end of it, worth the hassle. To me at least.

Only one adjustable in my den -- Yaqi Final Cut. I use it about once each week for quick adjust from aggressive first two passes, to more gentle, final touch up. Surprisingly good razor for the cost. German Wilkinson Swords are excellent in this razor for me.

I love my Blackland Osprey. I haven't had that many shaves with it yet, but it is surely a contender for the top tier of my shave den.
