Unique and quite refreshing without being aquatic or blue with most of the current designer creations of recent times. Cheap too...

Thanks for sharing this. I recently started exploring fragrances (stares at desk with a growing collection of decants Smile ). As part of that I have been looking at low cost/discounted designer options for a fresh and lightweight summer/warm weather scent. I started down more contemporary blue and aquatic options. But they weren't resonating with me for this application. I ended up getting John Varvatos Artisan Pure as it was the inspired by scent for one of my shaving setups and fits my warm weather use case relatively well. But Tous Man Les Concentrees seems like a viable candidate as well and discounted enough for a blind buy. I may have to pick it up.

I'd highly recommend this as it has a drier composition compared to JV Artisan Pure and not as floral. A bit more woods in it with a mellow citrus undertone from the grapefruit that lingers for a couple of hours before the tonka & vetiver take over rather unassumingly but, smoothly and stays for awhile. Mostly a skin scent after about 90 minutes yet it lingers all day with a dry but, masculine and clean vibe. Well worth it at under $30US from online discounters.

Thanks for the additional detail and helpful comparison with Artisan Pure. I placed an order for Tous Man Les Concentrees. Look forward to trying it out.

Chatillon Lux

Sampling La Petite Prairie and Weinstrasse, left and right.

The dry-down of La Petite Prairie reminds me of something my mother (and/or her mother) wore. Question then is, do I want to pay $1.17 a milliliter for bittersweet nostalgia?  (Maybe: I can easily imagine the circumstances.)

Weinstrasse further illustrates the diversity of fougère (or the use of that label) across the Chatillon Lux range. I've become very enamored of La Forêt de Liguest, whereas TSM Fougère seems just OK, and Weinstrasse strikes me as strange and unrewarding.

Probably not much insight in that, but this is a subjective affair, isn't it.

Anyone else with thoughts on La Forêt de Liguest and the rest of the Maher lines?
