I have no idea what polysorbate 20 is. I did this mostly as DIY project so I don't want to get too carried away with adding all sorts of stuff to the batches. I will say this, my chatillon lux toners have product settling like in my photos above...but it's not a big deal to me, I just give it a good shake before using it (as I do with all of my aftershaves) and let it do its thing.

I'm planning on straining the batches this weekend.

Its an emulsifier. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polysorbate_20. Many artisans choose not to use it in their aftershaves because it sounds like a chemical additive, which I suppose it is but its deemed safe by FDA as far as I know and it shows up in tons of stuff we all use.  It makes stuff stay in suspension so you don't have to shake well before using.  I don't mind shaking stuff and I love Chatillon Lux post shave products.  I've said this before but what the heck, I miss Shawn Maher doing Chatillon Lux post shave stuff.  I have plenty and I know he's farmed out the Chatillon Lux scent book to Declaration Grooming but DG doesn't make the aftershave toner/splash the way Shawn/CL did.  DG makes the CL scented aftershave like his DG aftershave not with all the fantastic soothing, moisturizing goodness that CL post shave stuff had.

not really, no. both batches have been strained and placed back into clean mason jars. I'm waiting on some EO & FO modifier to hopefully get rid of the oil separation in my 2 jars before I pour them into normal AS bottles to use.

Get a paint strainer or two to make separating the infusion quicker. You can squeeze it much easier, too.
