That is a truly beautiful retro looking bottle. Can you describe the scent to us? Is there anything we might be familiar with that you could compare it to?

Thank you in advance for your resopnse.

I get two main notes - mostly amber and some cedar.  Like a slightly less sweet Floid with the scent of a cedar box added in.

That is very cool! Those Expositions are intriguing historical events.

So I did some "sniffing around" and I was astounded by the price people are asking for this stuff. I know that Williams divested themselves of this product line but couldn't the new owner re-start it?

I have a friend whose hobby is pottery making.  He made this scuttle for me.

Very nice. I have an old fashioned scuttle myself but I rarely use it. The soap receptacle is very small and is obviously intended to receive a piece of cut off soap. Works fine with a milled soap that has worn down to a very small size, maybe 2:" in diameter. Out of curiosity, and if you would be so kind, about how big is the soap receptacle on your scuttle and how do you intend to load it with soap?

Thank you in advance for your response.

It is 3 inches across the top, measured from the inside of the lip. I will probably only use it with milled soaps that have shrunk considerably through usage as I would not want to break up a new shave soap.
