I think B 15 is the best non gelly knot.
Some are Always looking B 6, B 5...
But i think with a lil difference between them  , B 11, B 14 , B 15 IS equal or better . The backbone for me is better. But soft. I don't like when it's soft with no backbone . A personnal feeling , subjective thought.
Thats why when you use a B 3 too with soft pressure it's very good too for me. I know some hate B3 but i love it.
B3 , B9B, B 11,B 14, B 15 m'y favorites knots.
I am not an expert, i just share my feeling.
I love brush with " personnality".

Nice review, thanks! What is the chance in heck of even being able to get one of these? I like the sound of thinner fibres, but do these basically feel like a "Manchurian" on the face? I just got a used M&F so I am trying to figure out where to go from here, still don't have it figured out.

Sorry, I see now. It's really only the full brushes that are never available unless you sit in front of your phone for a week straight I guess. It looks like I could get a "smaller" 24mm B16 put into a handle, maybe an RV. That would actually be a reasonable price.

That would be outstanding

I am super excited to get mine especially after reading your review. The brief description he had made me hope for it being more like a classic good 2-band Silvertip and after reading your description Im really excited for what you describe.  I love my B15 though so its got some tough competition for favorite DG brush.

I was hesitant on if I wanted to get a B16 or not. I almost sent a handle in for a B16 knot. Last week I sold my Cold B14 and was thinking it would be nice to get a Cold 2.0 in B15 or B14. Well luck or the universe was telling me something this week. Because a Cold 2.0 B16 popped up and I bought it. I should get it sometime this week and look forward to trying it out. I'm not sure it will knock out my favorite being B14/B15 but I think it will be a good addition to my collection.

So I had my first use with my Cold 2.0 B16. I'm taken by surprise at how nice B16 was on this shave.

That's a pretty cool pour there, still waiting on my SSB.  Im surprised to see he still has one of the colors still available from his last drop.  Used to be a time even his unpopular colors sold out in a couple hours.  People really must not be feeling that thaw pour.

First shave with the space salmon B16 Washington.
I precise, it's just my subjective perception. I am note an expert.
The brush have an excellent blooming. She is soft with thin air. A little, imperceptible scritch, but with a lot of pressure and very under than the B3 scritch. I precise, i love B3.
The globally feeling, for me, it's a real pleasure to apply on my face.the softness is incredibles for me.
The thin air make me think of B13 but with backbone. Personnally , i don't like B13 because no backbone for me. For me it's between B5 ,B11 and perhaps B14 .
Or maybe an excellent alternative of B3 for those who dislike this knot. But for me B3 have is proper personnality. We love or we hate.
And i think B16 own too her own personnality too. Like other great Legendary DG knot.
I love B16 . Exceptionnal shaving for me today.

*Notice, naturally the subjectivity of my opinion. It's just my humble perception.Apologies for my Bad english.[Image: A9AqmOe.jpg]
