The teeth were straight and the handle wasn't split, so I gave it a forever home. I mean, just look at the poor thing:

After 20 minutes work with Brasso followed by dish detergent on a toothbrush, it came out pretty nice, for a ~100 year old razor.
A few minor dings for character, where they don't matter.
There are still few spots on the cap and base plate that look like it was worn down to copper or something. More like an old penny color. *google-google-google* Maybe that's "red brass", with a higher copper content, and plated with yellow brass.

The guy also had a Schick injector in a nice brown bakelite case, but I think it was a Type E, which I do not care for.
Something like 5 or 6 Rolls Razor kits too, but I wasn't interested.
Niiiiice discovery and restore. She looks like a new gal

Thank you!

This one is light amboyna burl.

The sister brush to it is a darker amboyna burl.

wutshoes I do - final sanding is with 600gr paper.

Then minwax spray laquer, clear satin.

This is not polyurethane.

Interesting, and nice handiwork!  Any reason for the lacquer over the polyurethane?  Is one more waterproof?
