The drop was just the announced made to order brush slots, the rest are leftovers from the Nov 12 drop and/or earlier drops.

Recently announced by Jannik:

"..The Delphi comes with a 24mm A1 knot set at a 49mm loft providing the same soft goodness you know and love from the other sizes of my A1 knot. It will be another brush that is planned to be in my onlieshop's inventory at all times beside the Calyx. The initial drop will be on Tuesday, January 2nd, at 9 p.m. CET. It will be available in some color variations.

The price will be 179€ - just as the Calyx. Even though the knot is smaller, I have a little more effort I must put into finishing up the handle..."

I beg to differ. The truth is you have no way of knowing what anyone's motives or intentions are for pursuing a particular business model in this space.

I might think someone like you is simply a blow-hard in pursuit of significance. But I have no way of know what really goes on in your head.

We adopted releases because it was the best approach we could come up with at the time. Demand generation wasn't the problem back then. It was trying to find a fair way to make the limited number of brushes we could make available on a level playing field.

Rudy make brushes differently than we do. And he should know that. The difference accounts for a lot.

If you don't like the way someone does business, why not just let it be instead of taking a dump?

One dude trying to meet global demand for a unique product. I, for one, am grateful that Wald now has an option to order "in stock" items like Calyx and Delphi. I ordered a Calyx in January, received it in a reasonable time, and immensely enjoy the unique Wald knot experience. The Calyx handle is very comfortable in my hand, and the knot is indeed unique. I couldn't be happier to order at my convenience.

With patience, after a few years in the hobby, I have the good fortune to own a Calyx, a Paladin, and a Rudy Vey. I am happy to support such excellent artisans. Being a guy trying to hold together a family and work obligations, I would feel like a jerk if I demanded unrealistic expectations on solo practitioners in a niche market.
