Mickey, I could be wrong but I believe that is a simple typographical error and that Chris (BadDad) meant "your" and not "ykur."

EDIT: Oops, I didn't see that there was another page and that this was answered a couple of times. Blush

just wanted to note that I'm looking into appending the user's name to the file name of the photo when it gets pulled from a thread.  example: if I post a SOTD photo in one of the SOTD threads, when I run my automated script, it'll name my photo like so: andrewjs18_somerandomdata.jpg

I don't have a problem with giving credit to people who take the time to take beautiful photos, but this isn't really possibly with the way the script is set up at the moment.  if I recognize someone that posted the photo, I'll tag them, like so:

This is to keep my promise of 3/2/2016 about the Valet Auto Shave VC 1.
I am going to expand it a bit to include three of the four Valet razors. I do not yet have a four.

They have me frustrated! I can not get a good shave from any of them either before or after stropping.
I do not think the razors are at fault. I believe it is the blades. The razors appear to be beautifully made even if rather complex for a razor.
The blades I used were all made specifically for these razors but they just don't 'cut' it. They are all quite old.
I have tried without success to find Feather Valet blades which users rave about. I will keep on trying.
I have some more blades coming and will give them the benefit of the doubt and a fair trial.

I hope for better results. I expect BBS.

Mickey

ykur.

Sorry. I thought it was another of the wet shaver fraternity's secret acronyms that keep me scratching my head.

I, too, have trouble with my keyboard. The "T" and the "Y" keep getting in each other's way.
I think they intentionally move to frustrate me.

Hey Mickey, doesn't the Valet take the same Feather blades as the OneBlade? Maybe a OneBlade owner will chime in and let you know where you can get them. I thought I remembered somebody saying you can get them from Connaught shaving. Good luck in your search.

Hi Mickey, Connaught does carry them as well as TryABlade, Gifts and Care [don't forget the 10% discount code if you order from Juan: G&C].

wyezOne,

The Valet blades have the word 'VALET' cut out across its width.
No blades without that cutout will fit a Valet razor as it has raised bumps and lines that fit into the blades.
