Today I took the RadMini for a 13 km ride. I wanted to see how it was for going up a long hill (something like 72 m change in altitude over 2 km horizontal), and also to drain the battery from 40% to 20% as part of the battery "balancing" process, since it is still fairly new, and the original owner would not have done that.

Climbing the hill wasn't bad. A few times I brought it down to 2nd gear (out of 7) and with power-assist of 5/5 I had no problem. It just meant slower going.

Something new I learned about a step-through today was that if you're stopped and straddling the bike, then try to free up both hands to fiddle with a phone (geo-tracking app), the bike will fall over.  Mad

It gets worse.
SWAMBO gets the RadMini ST2, and I just got myself a RadExpand 5, so we can go riding together, which we did today for 54 minutes 12 seconds, over 9.11 km (including a brief stop at the hardware store).
It was a balmy +5º, wind 31 gusting 41 km/h, and sunny.

Left - RadExpand 5
Right - RadMini ST2 (a now-discontinued model).
They're pretty much the same size with a similar frame. She gets a front suspension fork, I get 4" tires (vs 3"). She gets a more informative LCD controller display, I get BMX-style handlebars
Both will fold (frame and handlebar stem riser), so as to fit into our Honda CRV if we feel like biking somewhere else.
It's nice that we are a mere 230 meters from a "rail-to-trail" multi-use path.

Yesterday there was a workout in the gym - leg day. Did a squat at 90% of the maximum - 265 lbs (~120 kg) for 1 rep

Five laps in the pool. Crawl, breast stroke, back stroke, side stroke and crawl again. .

Maybe 250 meters. Eight minutes. Followed by hot shower and a shave.

Boxing class followed by shower, sauna and a Cremo shave with a twin blade razor.

Fortunately followed with a generous dose of Lilac Vegetal.
